It's exactly 18000 words. I found it utterly fascinating that I finished my sentence and checked and stopped there.
Exactly 18k means that I only have to write 2000 more words to hit tonight's 20k goal.
This is the best I've done for any previous NaNoWriMo. I'm really quite excited. I have a new crazy goal to finish the story by the end of the weekend... which would make it the fastest story >20k that I've ever written.
Actually, if I make my count this will be my fastest 20k ever written.
The best part is that my story's just beginning... I mean, all my stories have long beginnings, but yeah. I still haven't reached that: "Crap! My story is so crap!" stage yet. Hopefully I won't, though that sounds incredibly unbelievable.
