#nanowrimo plotting part 3

With thanks to @theravenclaw who said:
I wish sleep wasn't necessary. It's such a waste of time sometimes!
So in a world where people don't sleep, what do they do?

For one thing they'd use all of their hours. They wouldn't get tired, so would they still be lazy?

I mean sure, there have been stories about Vampires etc. who exist in the usual world amongst people who do sleep. But I've never read a story where no one ever slept.

I guess people would have invented electricity and other things a lot sooner. Especially lights. Or maybe not. Maybe they'd instead have the ability to see in the dark like nocturnal creatures.

Kind of the like the BFG who thinks you've wasted half your life by sleeping.

Of course, this is more of a concept than an actual plot. There's only so long you can marvel at the fact that people don't sleep.

So what if it's about people suddenly needing to sleep... when they never did before. And of course then there's the why?

This is such a sci-fi. Since when do I write sci-fi? Since never... and real-life fantasy does not count! For example, the first sci-fi I ever wrote was in year four when we had to. And I wrote something about Galileo. I wrote fiction about science rather than science fiction I believe.

Must think on this more before blogging again.
